COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou today proudly announced the Party’s formal endorsement of Senator Jon Husted for U.S. Senate and Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor of Ohio. The endorsement was approved on May 9, 2025, by a vote of the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee—the Party’s official governing body—during its scheduled meeting at GOP Headquarters in Columbus.
“We are proud to endorse Senator Jon Husted and Vivek Ramaswamy because they have proven that they will fight tirelessly for the people of Ohio,” said Chairman Triantafilou. “They are focused on securing Ohio’s future—growing our economy, protecting our communities, defending our freedoms, and standing up to the radical left’s agenda.”
Senator Jon Husted, a proven conservative, is running for the U.S. Senate in 2026. His record spans decades of service—most recently in the U.S. Senate—where he’s championed working families, constitutional freedoms, energy independence, and responsible government. A longtime advocate for economic growth and border security, Husted brings both experience and action to the national stage.
Vivek Ramaswamy, an Ohio-based entrepreneur and first-generation American, is seeking the Republican nomination for Governor in 2026. Known nationwide for his bold defense of American values, Vivek has earned widespread grassroots support for his vision to take on the bureaucracy, restore parental rights, and return power to Ohio communities. His candidacy reflects a new generation of conservative leadership rooted in purpose, policy, and patriotism.

Senator Jon Husted secured a majority vote of support, while Vivek Ramaswamy received a two-thirds supermajority endorsement from the Ohio Republican Party’s State Central Committee—officially backing his candidacy for Governor of Ohio.
