Ohio’s House of Representatives body is made up of 99 elected officials representing every city, town, village, and holler in Ohio. The average population of a House district is 119,281 citizens.

Did You Know? Ohio is one of 10 states in the Nation to have a full-time legislature. This means OHRA’s members are accountable to serve year round.

The first session of the Ohio House of Representatives was held in Chillicothe on March 3rd, 1803. Chillicothe was the State’s first capital at statehood in 1803.
